Reviewing the Laws

ABOUT Our Firm

Gates Law Firm believes in accountability. As children, we were taught that if you break something, then you are responsible for making things right. For wrongdoers who hurt, injure, maim, and kill our clients—we hold them accountable. We force them to make things right.

Here at Gates Law Firm, you don’t have to bear this alone. We've got your back. We will get you the just compensation that you deserve.

Whether you are involved in a car wreck, a trucking collision with an 18 wheeler, some product fails, or you have suffered a traumatic brain injury, we can help you and your family get back on your feet.

Joseph Gates

Joseph Gates takes great pride in being a trial lawyer because the civil justice system is the one arena where the meek and powerful can play on a level playing field. The richest and most dominant must adhere to the same rules as the weakest and the poorest.

Joseph is married to Edith Gates, and they have three beautiful daughters, Sofia Marie, Violet Esmeralda, and Emilia Rose. They all live in Little Rock.

While growing up in El Dorado, AR, he attended West Side Christian School until he graduated in 2003 second in his class. After high school, he attended college at Louisiana Tech University. He also attended Ouachita Baptist University for a short while to play college football. After college, Joseph received his J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, Arkansas, in 2010.

Joseph passed the Arkansas Bar in summer 2010. For the first ten years of his career, Joseph practiced law at Taylor King & Associates, PA, and Paul Byrd Law Firm, PLLC.

In fall 2020, Joseph founded Gates Law Firm, PLLC, with an emphasis on Personal Injury, Car Wreck, Trucking/18 Wheeler Collisions, Products Liability, and Traumatic Brain Injury cases.

Joseph is a member of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers's Association (ATLA), Arkansas Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Association for Justice (AAJ), Attorneys Information Exchange Group (AIEG), and Pulaski County Bar Association. As an ATLA member, Joseph is a former Chair of New Lawyers' Network and is a current Board of Governors member. Joseph is also a member of the Board of Governors’ for AAJ, and he is a 2017 graduate of AAJ's Leadership Academy, Class 5.
